BEGINNERS COURSE

Price per person : EUR 250

Special equipment needed : TBA (the guides can possibly provide touring skis – this will be confirmed shortly. If you use a snowboard, please bring your own splitboard.)

This safety training course is aimed at both freeriders and tourers. All participants must be capable of skiing/boarding (but not necessarily particularly experienced) in off-piste terrain for an extended (all day) period, which will include small ascents (of up to one hour duration / 800 metres ascent for ski tourers).

The course agenda includes skiing/boarding in small groups in freeride and touring terrain, where the focus lies on identifying and managing alpine risks. Complex topics, such as snowpack analysis, will be broken down step-by-step. Other topics covered by the course include route selection and managing groups. These will all be covered in a personal but professional manner. Focused training on handling emergency situations, including useful tips and tricks gained from professionals working in this field, round off the agenda.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and expand their knowledge in classes held at the "A Casa" apartment hotel.
